MORE BATS
Sunday (15/12/2024) will be at least 39 degrees so will be ideal for Bat pictures as they swoop the Torrens to drink and cool off. Kim & I are going down for 5pm. Anyone wishing to go down, meet us on the North side of the Torrens about 100 metres from the Uni Footbridge towards the Zoo. You will need a minimum of 200mm lens and preferable 400mm or more. A tripod or monopod will be handy. Wear a hat, long sleeves and long trousers etc and bring a water bottle and maybe a chair. Let me know if you need transport and I can see what I can do.... Bill

It is a very early start in the morning. Home by lunchtime. Limited to 8 people only. I will see which date suits people the most on Monday night at the AGM.

The Birds will be flying in and out of their nests feeding their young so will have lots of birds to photograph. Would need min 200mm lens and up to 600mm. (See Bill)
Our AGM is on Monday the 9th of December.
It is also our awards night, so everyone please attend our meeting.

So please get the nomination form from our website and email them to me before the 9th of December.
2024 Agenda, 2023 Minutes
Xmas Dinner - 16th December
Is our last meeting for 2024 will be on Monday the 16th of December at 6 pm for a 6:30 pm order time for meals.

It will be at the Grove Tavern at Surrey Downs the same as last year. We will have a separate room also the same as last year.
Now I need to give them final numbers so would like everyone to respond to me by Friday morning this week the 29th of November if you are attending and how many are coming.
For those new to the club you are encouraged to bring your spouse or partner. We want to make it a great social night where we get to know each other better.
The menu will be A la Carte so off the main menu at their normal prices. It will be a pay on the night so no deposit is necessary but I need to give firm numbers soon.
If you have not yet booked, see Bill

November News

Tea Tree Gully Council Toilet Blocks

After last year’s successful wrapping of 3 toilet blocks in Tea Tree Gully Council areas, We have been asked to supply more images to cover 3 more toilet blocks.  This time they have asked for Flora and Fauna images that are synonymous with the areas.  As 2 bird shots were used last year, they have mentioned, perhaps, images of insects (butterflies etc) and flora. That said, I think a great shot of a bird might also fill the proposition.

Attached images of the new blocks.

The new sites are:
Orange Grove Circuits - 1 Shepley Ct, Dernancourt
Nursery Way - Highbury
Cobbler Creek - Target Hill Rd, Greenwith

As per last year Danny will be the liaison with the council. Please send images to him at:  [email protected].

At this stage make them the same size as we do for competitions: 1920 x 1080.  As we are now into November and only have up until mid-December to present to the council our proposed images, we need to get moving.

Each successful image owner will receive a $200 VISA Card and their name on each image.
